Question: Can I buy a ticket to just one of the two days for this conference?
Answer: The registration fee covers both conference days for in-person or online attendance and includes EMPOWERING! keynote speakers and presentations, a customizable scheduling app, and access to the captioned session recordings. If you are attending in person, you’ll also get yummy catered breakfasts, snacks, beverages, and lunches.
We don’t have a single day registration option, but we can offer you these registration tips:
-
- If you can only attend face-to-face for one day, please choose the in-person registration option. This will allow you to attend virtually on the other if you desire to do so.
-
- If you’re not sure how many days you will be able to attend or how you’d like to attend – virtually or in-person, please choose the in-person registration option. This will allow you to decide later how you’d like to attend.
-
- If you can only attend virtually, please choose the virtual registration option. This will allow you to attend one or both days of the conference remotely.
Question: Where can I park and how much will it cost?
Answer: Parking is free and a detailed Tacoma Community College (TCC) campus map is available under the Map section on the WACC 2024 Sched site. The basic campus map can be viewed on TCC’s Maps and Directions page. If you’d like to print a copy of the conference locations map below, please click on the image to open and download the PDF.
NOTE: TCC will be enjoying Spring Break at the time of our conference, which means campus parking will be plentiful for this event! Please note that there are several parking entrances closed due to construction. The best lot to park in is A.
Question: Is anyone carpooling?
Answer: We don’t have any plans to coordinate carpooling between colleges. Please check in with your campus eLearning office to see if carpooling has been organized for your campus.
I heard there is going to be conference swag for in-person attendance. If it’s a t-shirt, where do I indicate my size?
Answer: The conference planning team is in the process of selecting conference swag. While sizes are not guaranteed, if a t-shirt or jacket is chosen, the planning team will need your size preferences in order to provide a variety of sizes for attendees to choose from. Please indicate your preferred clothing size when you register.
Question: Will there be WiFi?
Answer: Yes! Login information will be provided during the event.
Question: What is your refund policy?
Answer: No refunds are available this year, however, you can transfer your ticket to another individual.
Question: Is my registration/ticket transferable?
Answer: Yes, if you find you cannot attend, please email our Eventbrite administrator, Sarah Griffith at sgriffith@lowercolumbia.edu, with a subject line of “WACC 2024 Ticket Transfer” to let us know who you’d like to transfer your registration/ticket to; their full name, their college affiliation, their college role and their best email.
NOTE: We cannot guarantee special dietary requests on Tickets transferred or purchased after March 18th because our caterers need a headcount and any special requests 2 weeks prior to the event date.
Question: Where do I submit my dietary request?
Answer: Please indicate your food allergies and/or other dietary restrictions when you register, and we will do our very best to meet your needs.
Question: Whom may I contact for questions I don’t want to share publicly in a post below?
Answer: Email our WACC 2024 work group chair, Tim Trussler at ttrussler@batestech.edu.
