The ELC Professional Development Work Group is excited to announce a new direction for the eLearning Council’s annual professional development conference — WACC 2025. We’re still a teaching, learning, and technology conference, but this year, we’re expanding beyond our Canvas roots to explore two emerging areas impacting higher education.

What’s new this year?

• Depth rather than Breadth. We’re diving deep into Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the recent Title II changes regarding accessibility, with thoughtfully designed sessions and a day of learning devoted to each topic.
• Inclusive Hands-on Learning. We’re moving the conference online for a more accessible and affordable learning experience, featuring workshop-style sessions with dedicated time to practice and apply new skills.
• Self-Care. We’ve tentatively scheduled the conference for February 25^th and 26^th, so you can sit back and relax over Spring Break.
• Institutional Registration. We’ve eliminated the need for multiple individual sign-ups by offering an institutionwide registration option that streamlines the process, saving everyone time and paperwork.

The conference planning team is committed to continuously learning from your feedback, growing with each event, and transforming WACC to deliver inclusive, high-quality, and relevant learning opportunities. To build a conference experience that meets your needs, we focused our decision-making on providing relevant learning, inclusive access, affordability, and opportunities for practical application.
