Interested in presenting?

  • Heart. Mind. Community. This year’s theme is all about supporting one another, growing together, and building stronger, more human-centered working and learning environments.
  • Your voice matters! We invite you to submit a proposal to share the ways you’re bringing care, growth, and connection into your work with students and colleagues.

Who should submit?

  • We want to hear from you! All faculty, staff, and administrators from Washington’s community and technical colleges and public universities are welcome to submit.

What’s the submission deadline?

  • We’re interested and eager to consider your submission. Submit your proposal by January 16th for priority consideration and scheduling preference.

What are we looking for?

We welcome proposals on any topic related to assessment, teaching, learning, or technology, especially those rooted in inclusive and reimagined practices. Here are some topic ideas to help get you started:

  • Accessibility practices for supporting usability, digital access, and inclusive design
  • Building Community frameworks for centering people and relationships in how we teach, learn, and work
  • Caring for Ourselves and Others strategies for fostering well-being, work-life balance, and belonging
  • Educational Technology – ideas for using Canvas and other digital tools to enhance teaching, learning, and workflows
  • Equity & Inclusion methods for reducing barriers and promoting success
  • Generative AI insights for using AI in creative, ethical, and practical ways to support teaching, learning, and work
  • Inclusive Pedagogy & Authentic Assessment approaches for encouraging meaningful learning, feedback, and reflection
  • Open Educational Resources how-to’s for authoring, adopting, sharing, and measuring the impact of OER
  • Other surprise us!

Washington’s Annual Canvas Conference
March 27th – 28th

Join us in-person at Tacoma College or virtually in Zoom for two days of sharing uplifting teaching, learning, and technology topics that will EMPOWER! your practice and help you EMPOWER! student success.

The early bird in-person rate of only $199.00 covers both conference days and includes EMPOWERING! keynote speakers and conference presentations, conference swag, a customizable scheduling app, and access to the captioned session recordings. You’ll also get yummy breakfasts, snacks, beverages, and catered lunches! After March 1st, the in-person rate increases to $249.00.

The virtual rate of only $99.00 covers BOTH conference days and includes EMPOWERING! keynote speakers and conference presentations, a customizable scheduling app, and access to the captioned session recordings.
